Safety Security and Environmental (SSE) Manager (2/2/10)
Employer: Kraft Foods - Toledo, OH
Responsible for managing, coordinating and overseeing implementation of all Safety, Security and Environmental (SSE) programs and processes at the plant. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, and Kraft policies and continuous improvement in key identified measures and objectives. Prepares and builds consensus annual plans for plant wide SSE initiatives.
Oversees both the implementation of company SSE management systems ( KSRMP, KEMS, ISO, for example) and the approach for how the company’s management systems will be executed in the facility. Develops or acquires custom tools to address specific issues. Leads the design of and monitors the performance of the teams that are typically used to execute the specific work activities that drive the process improvements.
Toledo is a 100 employee Kraft Foods facility which process flour for numerous Nabisco Brand Products.

The facility is an hour north of Columbus , OH.
What You Will Do
- Analyze new equipment and verify operator safety.
- Conduct safety training programs for all levels of the operation.
- Lead operation to best practice and best in class for safety efforts.
- Assist organization by participating in special taskforce assignments and special projects.
- Gather and analyze data and formulate solutions by either mechanical or muscle-skeletal means and prepare cost packages to show ROI.

What You Need To Succeed

- CPE, CSP or CIH certifications are a plus
- Ability to use engineering tools to analyze, formulate solutions and implement approved objectives.

- Drive ergonomic changes and improvements, plant wide
- Determine root cause of safety problems and implement corrective & preventative measures
- Collect, analyze, interpret data, in order to develop safety strategies that will drive continuous improvement
- Provide guidance to facility with regards to EHS compliance questions and activities
